LASER PRINTER NOTES: Envelope printing is pretty straight forward. Call up the record you wish to print in the pointed-to display window. Select the Print Option from the main menu and the laser envelope print option of the print option menu. Either manual feed in an envelope or use your envelope casette and continue to print. The label default is 35 characters across and five lines down. An envelope is printed in your printer's native print style and size. This is usually 12 points (10 C.P.I.). All 35 characters will print. When printing a whole page of laserlabels, either a page of one label or all the labels in a file, the program will request the printer to print in 10 point size (12 cpi). This allows 96 characters across a page. The first two labels will display the first 32 characters andthe final label on the right hand side will display 29. Thus if you are using all 35 characters of the label, you will lose a few right- most print positions. Experimen- tation will help you see what I am talking about. (use F11 here) As a rule of thumb, left-justify all lines and fill each line with: Please see final fewrecords about down- loading fonts to geta full 35 characters NAME TITLE ADDRESS CITY, STATE ZIP CODE You can use either dedicated laser printer labels such as: Avery #5160 Laser Printer Labels 100 sheets @ 8 1/2" x 11" 3000 labels: 1" x 2 5/8" (or equal) OR you can use Copier Labels (printon plain paper and feed the copier)such as: 1"x 2 3/4" 33 labels/sheetSelf-Adhesvie Address Labels for Plain Bond Copiers. You can use MACO M-5351 or equal. Output is 27 labels per page with the three top most and bottom most labels left blank as borders. Finally, I added a Deposit Print option, which serves as a way to stamp the back of checks I am to deposit with a message such as: ┌──────FOR DEPOSIT ONLY──────┐ │ Tiny Texas Terminator Co. │ │ Account # 12012060499 │ └────────────────────────────┘ You place your check in the envelope feed area and tell it to deposit print. I used a similar label with the dot matrix printer which was just a matter of printing one label straight up on the printer, but with the laser, which normally prints a page at a time, I had to add a special feature. For details on how to draw the lines, read DRAW.DBL. For further information, read the dbLite.DOC file which accompanies this program. If you have suggestions or questions, please follow the registration directions. Please note that with version 1.1 of dbLite a Laser user now has the option of downloading fonts to a laser printer. This will allow the printing of all 35 characters across, since it utilizes propor- tionally spaced fonts. The excep-
